Augustus has secured $180 million in Series B funding to accelerate the expansion of its US dollar clearing infrastructure, strengthening its position as a provider of banking services for financial institutions operating across international markets.

The company specializes in giving banks, fintech firms, and other financial institutions access to dollar-denominated payment and settlement infrastructure. By simplifying participation in the US financial system, Augustus helps institutions process cross-border transactions without requiring direct access to traditional correspondent banking networks.
Augustus already processes billions of dollars in transaction volume and serves clients across both traditional finance and the digital asset sector. Among its customers is cryptocurrency exchange Kraken, highlighting the platform’s ability to support businesses with high transaction volumes while meeting stringent compliance requirements.
The new capital will be used to scale the company’s infrastructure, onboard additional financial institutions, and expand its presence in markets where demand for efficient dollar clearing services continues to grow.
Investor interest reflects the increasing importance of financial infrastructure providers as global payment flows become more complex. Banks and fintech companies are seeking faster, more transparent access to US dollar settlement while navigating evolving regulatory requirements and correspondent banking challenges.
Augustus also occupies a unique position by serving both traditional financial institutions and crypto-native businesses, allowing it to bridge two sectors that increasingly rely on secure, compliant payment infrastructure.
As international commerce, digital assets, and cross-border financial services continue to expand, demand for specialised clearing and settlement providers is expected to rise. The latest funding gives Augustus additional resources to strengthen its platform and capitalise on one of the fastest-growing segments of financial infrastructure.
