Revolut Partners With OpenAI to Offer Free ChatGPT Go Access

Revolut has partnered with OpenAI to offer eligible retail customers complimentary access to ChatGPT Go for up to one year, expanding the range of digital services available through its platform.

The partnership introduces one of the world’s most widely used AI tools into Revolut’s customer offering, giving users access to premium conversational AI alongside the company’s banking, payments, savings, and investment services.

Rather than developing its own large language model, Revolut has chosen to integrate an established AI platform into its ecosystem. The move reflects a growing trend among financial technology companies to enhance customer value through strategic AI partnerships instead of building proprietary models from the ground up.

ChatGPT Go provides enhanced capabilities beyond the standard free version of ChatGPT, making it an additional benefit for eligible Revolut customers. The company has not disclosed the financial terms of its agreement with OpenAI.

The announcement comes as Revolut continues expanding beyond digital banking into a broader financial and lifestyle platform. With more than 50 million customers globally and an increasing range of subscription-based services, the fintech has been adding new products aimed at strengthening customer engagement and supporting long-term retention.

The partnership also highlights the growing role of artificial intelligence in financial services. While many banks are using AI to improve fraud detection, customer support, and internal operations, partnerships that deliver AI tools directly to consumers remain relatively uncommon.

As competition among digital banks intensifies, additional lifestyle benefits are becoming an increasingly important differentiator. By adding premium AI access to its ecosystem, Revolut is broadening the value of its platform beyond traditional banking and positioning itself as a digital hub for both financial and everyday productivity services.
