Finix, a full-stack payment processor, has announced a strategic partnership with Plaid, a leading financial data network. The integration embeds Plaid’s authentication and identity APIs directly into the Finix platform, enabling fast and secure bank account verification across onboarding, payouts, and ongoing payment operations.
Solving friction in bank account verification
Bank account verification has traditionally been one of the most complex steps in scaling payment operations. By integrating Plaid’s technology, Finix enables businesses to instantly connect and verify accounts, reducing onboarding delays and minimizing fraud risk.
Finix customers can access Plaid’s authentication flow through two main methods:
- No-code onboarding using pre-built Finix forms
- API integration for fully customized user experiences
Users can connect accounts via Plaid Link, existing Plaid credentials, or manual entry, with sensitive data securely tokenized to reduce compliance overhead.
Enhancing payouts and reducing operational risk
Beyond onboarding, the integration strengthens the full lifecycle of money movement. Verifying account ownership before funds are sent reduces failed payments and minimizes operational risk.
Richie Serna, co-founder and CEO of Finix, stated that real-time verification allows businesses to launch faster and move money with greater confidence. Adam Yoxtheimer, Head of Partnerships at Plaid, added that bank payments can reduce processing costs by up to 40% compared to card transactions when paired with a seamless user experience.
Scalable solutions for modern platforms
The partnership expands Finix’s low-code and no-code capabilities, making it easier for platforms and marketplaces to build scalable payment workflows.
By combining Plaid’s data and analytics layer with Finix’s infrastructure, businesses can deliver secure, high-conversion bank payment experiences while keeping development complexity low.
